Read and understand

Reading is a simple and effective way to learn a language: you remember sequences and collocations and start recognising them automatically, in text and by ear, without a translator. The catch is elsewhere.

What gets in the way

The interesting books are hard. Native writers write for native readers: Dostoevsky did not write in “simple Russian”, nor Kafka in “simple German”.

The simple books are dull. Texts “for beginners” are children’s stories and AI prose that nobody wants to finish.

A dictionary does not help. Every language is full of phrases that have no word-by-word translation — taken word by word they turn into nonsense.

What we do

We take good literature and publish it at several levels of difficulty, keeping the meaning intact.

We simplify the language, not the story. The plot, the details and the author’s voice stay in place: at A1 only the sentences change, at C2 you read the original untouched.

We split the text into meaningful fragments in advance, so the translation arrives as a whole piece — and you read the phrase the way it was written.
