Install Linguateca on your phone

Linguateca works like an ordinary app: an icon on your home screen, full-screen reading and access to downloaded stories without the internet. Nothing to get from an app store — installing takes half a minute right in the browser.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open linguateca.app in Safari — other iOS browsers cannot install it.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (a square with an arrow).
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen” and confirm with “Add”.

Android

  1. Open linguateca.app in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
  3. Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.

What you get

  • An icon on the home screen — one tap to read, no hunting for the tab.
  • Downloaded stories open offline: on the metro, on a plane, out of town.
  • The reader takes the whole screen, the address bar stays out of the text.

The app updates itself: it is the same site, with no separate versions or stores.
